| We have two older Holmes heaters, and they were starting to malfunction a bit. I was pleased to find them still available at a price that was impressive. We use them to keep a large greenhouse at a temperature for citrus, and they don't even have to be turned on high to maintain the temperature. |

| I already own this product. I purchased it from WalMart several years ago. When I wanted an additional set the only place I could find it was through amazon. They shipped quickly and work great. |

threw out the first in vegas, moved the 2nd to CA, took it out today and it's non-working also!
Update! Called the company or emailed them and they sent me a bigger, newer model for free!!!!!! |

I'm an unfortunate smoker, and the winter can kill you :)
I put that on a small table on my deck, near a bench and used it all winter long for my breaks. You don;t have to leave it on, it warms very quickly and gets very comfortable.
No propane means less risks (from my perspective) so very happy with this product. |
A major disappointment

I wasn't expecting miracles -- just a little extra heat so I could sit on my deck on days when the breeze was a bit too cool. This does NOT do the trick. It says it generates "infrared heat unaffected by wind" but any little breeze negates the very small amount of heat this thing puts out. That's surprising, especially given its huge size. I thought a "tabletop" heater would be roughly lamp-sized, but this thing is BIG. But even sitting at my table on the deck, with this heater in the middle, on a 60-degree day, trying to read with my book and hands on the table, my hands were too cold. Occasionally the sun broke through and my hands immediately warmed up -- much more so than from the heater. And that was with the heater set on HIGH.
Don't waste your money. I fully expected to love this heater, and was looking forward to extending my precious deck time. Instead, I have to take it apart, repack it, and send it back. It's certainly not worth the $170 I paid. I wouldn't keep it if it was free. |
