| I hate to clean my daughter's room. Her phone, ipod and cords of the chargers are big mess on the floor. This is a great item. Now her phone and ipod can stay on the extendable top, and cords are neatly winding around on the side. I love it. |
great for my apartment

I bought two of these and they're great in my studio - I have one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen. You can charge 3 phones at once, so it's good for my personal phone + work Blackberry + iPod. When you use the USB ports, the light goes off when your phone is fully charged, a nice touch.
In the kitchen, I usually just put up the iPod and speakers - the iPod (Touch) stands nicely on the rubberized grip so I can see the album covers while playing music, or watch a TV show.
I am getting another one for my girlfriend. I highly recommend these little guys.

| I bought this to charge and organize all of my electronic gadgets. I bought it mainly for the 2 USB charging ports. These work well for my cellphone and MP3 players. However, it does not charge a PS3 controller while it will charge the Sony Bluetooth headset. |
Good, not quite perfect.

We all have too many gadgets needing to be recharged, and most of those gadgets that connect yo computers have chargers that emulate a USB port. When the clutter on my kitchen counter reached my "do something about this" level, I started to look for some type of built-in USB charger. I had seen ads for one built into an outlet (from a company called FastMac) but that appears to heave been a concept that never made it into a product. There were a bunch of do-it-yourself alternatives which are interesting. In the end, this products seemed to fit the bill. It works very well if the outlet is vertical, even has a little shelf for you to place your iPhone -or similar device. It does not do so well if the outlet is horizontal, in the sense that the shelf cannot be used.
Electrically, i like this device. It charges my iPad -which requires more oomph than the usual small USB charger can deliver. The fact that it has two outlets also makes it possible to charge two tnings at the same time! There is a red LED which turns on when the USB outlet is charging something.
Finally, the device has a normal three pro outlet on the side/bottom. |
